what type of terrapins have you got??
How big is your accomodation??
Some terrapins can become aggressive towards each other if they are too overcrowded

Usually yellow bellied sliders are sociable. But if you are not sure on the species then it is difficult to advise.
I only know the basic upkeep of this species.
The only thing i can think of to do if you don't want to part with him would be to divide the pond up if the area is big enough with fine but strong mess, down the centre, to stop them comming into contact with each other.
You could also get expert advise from the Chelonia Trust at www.chelonia .org
They have pictures to select your breed, and advise on their website and you can email them for advise.
