29-12-2006 by lynette	hi can anyone help i live in harwich essex and im looking for a medium sized young dog or puppy staffy cocker spaniel ect for as cheap as possible or free would be well looked after with loads of love and attention as i am home all day but also has to be local as i am unable to travel to far reson for rehoming not important as i have loads of time to spend with him or her thanks:D

30-12-2006 by KAY GARDNER	Your best bet is to try a rescue in your area. There are lots of dogs young and old comming in this time of year. Asking for a puppy or dog in the christmas period is not the best idea.You will notice that rescues will not rehome over the christmas period as it is not the best time to have a new pet in the family. if you are looking for a cheap dog there is no such thing.The upkeep of a dog includes,feeding and yearly veterinary treatment for its injections and also for any other ailments,bedding and toys.Loving a dog is not enough even though your intentions may be genuine.I hope this helps.

I have 3 dogs the best dog i would recommend is the lahso apso. i have one of these. she is a lovely little dog. have you tried looking in the vets for any people that are selling any dogs locally? there is a resuce center attached to the clacton based one but i found that all they had were large dogs like whippits when i looked a few years back but do give them a try! good luck finding a new dog!
