ive got a male and female they mated about 6 week ago the female put on wait but no eggs and i cant see any i did see some at first but they gone and shes still big she attack the male if he trys to mate with her does that mean there still in there or has breeding season not started

That suggests you should have taken Kays advice and seperated them.

Mate your going to kill this female the way you trying to breed it. The female is attacking the male because SHE DOES NOT WANT TO MATE
NOW SEPERATE HER AND GIVE A BIT OF CHOICE, AND ABIT OF REST.
If not, be prepared to find a dead gecko.

Yes, exactly. this website is for advice. but you were given it once before mate by Kay (who i stuck up for you against... so dont be like that with me)
I had more than my fair share of things to say to that very experience lady, and i shouldnt have argued with her. But I told her to back off and leave you alone because you were asking advice. But you need to be told mate, as she did saay.. dont keep them together.. seperate them a.s.a.p and guess what? Your back on here again with your female about to die! She blantantly was not seperated mate as i quote
'shes still big she attack the male if he trys to mate with her '
HOW THE HELL COULD SHE ATTACK THE MALE IS SHE WAS NOT WITH HIM!!!

I was NOT trying to have a go, but its very irritating that you were given the advice you so desperatly seek, and what this websites for, but you ignored it, now your back a couple of weeks later asking the same thing! Well sorry hun but Im just going to give you the same advice Kay did which you should have followed.. get them seperated, take them both the vet for check ups and just leave them apart for a good while now.

' i only want advice thats wot this site is for u know'
Yes, And what am i doing? Giving you advice. So if you dont want it, dont ask for it, sometimes you get critism when you make stupid mistakes because you dont want to listen to someone, you have to take it if you want advice.

Please get her to the vet mate, there is a big concern for her now.She has gone through more that enough with that male.
with all that she has put up with you could be putting her life at risk.
jessica is trying to express how worried she is and does'nt mean any offence.she is just cross that the gecko wasn't seperated earlier and she is going to die if she isn't now seen by a vet.
I back her all the way with her gut feelings.

Really not trying to have a go at you Tony, Im trying to help. Thanks Kay for backing me up.
But can I ask... you sold them in this condition??
And what were you doing buying them and trying to breed them when you didnt know anything about them? Oh and its one thing to attack me for giving you advice when you asked for it...but dont lie to us about things. The female wasnt with the male 'a minute'. She was blatantly in there long enough to be mated, to get seriously pissed off and attack the male (as you claimed) whenever he tried to mate her, and to get in such a state. I have no sympathy for you if you bought a pair of geckos not knowing ANYTHING about them. Sorry but in that case, you should be banned from keeping any animals. I bet you kept them in a tiny tank with a hot rock. I really feel for the pair of geckos you had.. what a shame they had to come into the hands of some one so neglectable and irresponsible.. who wouldnt even take them the vet.. and to sell them in that state.. to get the quick, easy way out. Thats if you have.. i actually doubt it, I feel its just a way to get people like us (who actually care for our animals, and dont treat them like breeding machines) off your back. Im sorry you felt I was attacking you.. but I think you've shown everyone on this forum the real term of a bad owner. Ignorance can be forgiven.. but some one who just does not give a shit ... is the lowest of the low.
arr well if youve sold them good for them.
Good luck mate.. with whatever poor thing you decide to buy next.

i just really hope you have learn't your lesson tony to not jump into the deep end when buying an animal or exotic pet.
A lot of people do the same thing and unfortunately, because they donnot know anything about the husbandry, they come across problems and the animals start to suffer, because the pet owner hasn't a clue what to do.
i kindly suggest that anyone looking to buy any animal researches first into the husbandry before buying any animal you are not sure of and speak to a breeder or vet, who has high knowledge of the particular animal/species.
Exotic animals are unfortunately highly targeted to be kept as pets and are a specialist pet for an experienced, trained or more knowledgable person.

Still havent answered the question as to why you bought them without knowing/looking up about them. Fair enough I may have lost my temper, but I will not except lies being told straight out. How then, if you DID seperate them, was the female 'still' attacking the male? I think you should really listen to what people have to say. Like I said, ignorance can be forgiven to some sort of extent, but when people are trying to help you (however harsh you may think the people are) you should take the help, especially in your case as you didnt have a clue about these animals. Why on earth were you trying to breed them when you didnt even know anything about them??? probably cos you heard they were easy to breed and care for so you thought youd have a go. If you treat all your amimals in the same way you treated these geckos then i really do feel sorry for them. If not then my apologies, but I guess none of us will know. If you have a healthy dragon fair enough, and good on you, but surely as a dragon owner you should know the importance of reading into animals. Btw, a 2ft tank is not suffienct for a pair of geckos, and does not give the female enough space to get away, if you are trying to breed them just one point i think you may find valuable if you decide to try breed these again. Im concerned you sold these geckos, especially with the suspected female being eggbound. Oh and no, my animals do not inter breed. I choose not to breed my animals, unless I can keep them all to avoid them being sold where they could end up being abandoned etc (and i would never breed my iguana because of the number that are abandoned each year. Also , I tend not to buy two animals from the same litter anway so get your facts right mate. Oh yeah, feel free to report me on this site, as i have not done anything wrong. Im doing what this site is meant for, giving my opinion and advice.
