14-03-2007 by jessica	I thought that since its looking abit dry on here, I'd start a thread where everybody (regardless of whether they keep pets or not, or are just interested in animals) could introduce themselves and/or their pets if they do keep any. Everybodys welcome So I'll start with me! My Names Jesika, Im 16 years old, Currently living in Merseyside in the North West. I've had an interest in reptiles since I was about 9, when my brother bought a python, and I realised I wasnt scared of it! After abit of time living with this python, it became quite clear that I preffered this type of animal over the common hamster.. So thats when I got my own first snake. It was a corn snake hatchling that my brother bought for me. I soon got myself some Giant african land snails. Then a scorpion. A new larger corn snake (Beano), tree frogs,and eventually a pink toed tarantuala. I was lucky enough to own all these by the time I was 14, and that my mum trusted and knew that I could care for them. I have since owned Freshwater Stingrays, arrowanas, Turtles, Bearded Dragons, Leopard Geckos and many more. Here are some pictures of my current pets:
14-03-2007 by jessica	Beano Adult male Snow corn. I couldnt hold him for this pic, he can be quite grumpy sometimes. Still, hes my favourite snake of the lot. He wont eat mice or rats only chicks, so as you can imagine that can be quite a problem getting hold of them. Bo Yearling albino striped King snake. Im suprised he let me hold him for this pic. Very nasty temper on him, probably just scared though. Absolutely gawjuss colours on him. Harriet 7 year old female hermanns tortoise. Just come out of hibernation so abit worse for wear. Loves her baths and to have a good wander round the garden. Lucky adult fem Green iguana My baby. I love her to pieces, loves to sit on your shoulder, as you can see from the pic lol. Not in the least bit scared of people, which is amazing really for a lizard. Real character. I could never part with her. Just pushing 5 foot long now. Lizzie Adult fem leopard gecko My first lizard. The tamest little thing you'll ever come across, shes such a little love. She likes to sit on my chest and watch Ren & Stimpy with me. And when she sheds, and has bits stuck on her toes, she enjoys havin it picked off for her! I'll post pics of the rest later, its hard to get photos of tarantulas that burrow!! By the way I can get giant african land snails and post them to you if you still want them (i saw your ad) how much you looking to pay? (They would be from a pet shop). Let me know xx
