Posted what on earth does it mean when

i am new to this i got 2 female bearded dragons and a male so what does it mean when female bobs her head and the other waves her arm in the air and male sits there doing nothing
i can sit and watch them for ages doing this:-?

its the way they "talk" to each other..

bobbing the head is a dominance behaviour.. she is saying "i am the boss"

waving the arm is submissive behaviour.. she is saying "ok, you are the boss"

the male is being a typical male and ignoring the womens chat.. lol.. if he was up for mating them, his beard would go black, his throat would puff out, and he would be head bobbing too.

although its often males you see head bobbing, and females arm waving.. you do also get dominant displays from females too, especially over submissive females..

make sure you have enough basking spots, or a big enough basking spot, that the dominant female does not hog all the heat. also keep and eye on food intake, to make sure the submissive female is not being bullied from her food.
