I want to grow some plants for tortoises to eat. Can anybody tell me if I can just grow any varieties off the shelf. ie pansy, nastersuim, petunia.

Have you checked if these are ok for tortoises to eat? I would stick to the ever popular dandelion leaves and fruit/veg for them. Also the leaves would have to have alot of nutritional value to be worth growing for the tortoises. Hope this helps

Nipplewort
Red clover
Shepherds Purse
Sowthistle
White clover
Tufted vetch
Sainfoin
Betony
Welsh poppy
Marsh mallow
Nettle
Yarrow
Hedge bedstraw
Musk mallow
Milk thistle
Borage
Plaintains
Creeping Bell-flower
Heartsease
