| Don't let his cute looks fool you! He completely wrecks his tank. He is so strong that he can move rocks that weigh just short of five pounds, and he attacks the filter in/out pipes. Nigel has had to make covers for them! |

| Looks can be decieving! wow, he's strong! my frt tries to bite through rock and the metal screwcumber thingy, i have a feeling he succeded with the rock as there is a suspicous bite shaped mark in one of them. |

| von, what size is your frt? |

| He's about 6-7 inches from the front of his shell to the back, i used to keep him in a tank with cichlids, which was fine, then decided to get him his own tank, he has killed 3 fish that i put in there as a clean up crew. silly boy doesn't even eat them just seems to bite them to see what they taste like, he won't eat any type of meat or fish. |

| Huxley will eat blood worm and pears, trying different sorts of fruite etc but he is very fussy.
Wondering if Huxley will be ok in with some of my big fish? Any thoughts on that? In the tank there are 2 large jaguars, 1 lge green terror, 1 tiger shovel nose, arrowana, lge pacu and a redtail cross. |

| Should be, mine didn't do any real damage when he was in the cichlid tank, just a few superficial fin nips, i think as lond as the fish are big enough and strong enough to pull away they will be fine, the problem in his new tank i think was that the fish were small and where as before he could only bite fins now he's biting the whole fish and they can't escape.
Mine eats figs, peas, sera viformo tablets, algae wafers and sometimes raisins, very, very fussy, won't eat the same food 2 nights on the run and occasionally won't eat anything. |
