Hi' can anyone tell me about using waterfalls and misters/foggers in vivariums. Are there any reptiles or 'phibs you should never use them with? any which absolutely love 'em? any info would be much appreciated.

no, they wont be effectivly good for beardies, I have had them before. Beardies are desert lizards, where as iggys are rainforest lizards, and would naturally come across waterfalls and swim in them
However beardies wouldnt really (desert) lol.
However, if you have the spare money and that then why not? I may be wrong, they may absolutely love them. You can only really know what your beardie likes with trial and error -
good luck
tell me some more about this iggy youre planning to get ? I have a 4 and half foot female at present

cheers for all that. i thought that; beardies being desert rep' and loving water, but the bloke who told me about it said his loved it. like you say 'try, you never know'.
an iguana is something i've been looking into but don't think i'm ready for one yet. it's not only the space you need but the time too. possibly one for the future though. thanks again for the advice.

deffinately not for beardies, they get all sorts of problems if subjected to constany high humidity, which waterfalls and misters will create! they can get skin problems respiratory problems to name a few, the only water beardies need is a medium sized water bowl in the viv, and they do enjoy a weekly shallow bath in tepid water which can be beneficial

cheers for that ian. thankfully i havn't put one in the viv, like jessica said it is a bit odd having a waterfall in the desert!
i'm just glad there are forums like this. and maybe the bloke who said beardies loved em just wanted to sell me his waterfall!
many thanks for all the advice, Eddie
