I have frogs.
A good size bowl of water and a good heatmat is what i use for the treefrogs.Mist spray twice a day too.
It is very rainforest like.
My Dwarf african clawed frog(6") is in a 24" long tank with 6" of water,a waterfall,a heater on the side of the tank(12")to produce a warm end.the air is very humid but the water is room temperature.
Moss is a good source of moisture for my frogs and salamanders.

no african claw frogs donot come out of water though she has the choice to move to shallow water.
alot of dwarf clawed frogs are put in tropical fish tanks with water at the full depth of the tank and they have no choice but to struggle at the top to raise their heads above the water.mine is much happier in a shallower tank where it can put its head above water and feet on the bottom at the same time.
The heating is needed just the same as tree frogs.
What are your vivs made of?
some vivs have problems keeping in the humidity and heat depending on the material that the viv is made from.also how and where it is ventilated.

one of my most problamatic is the exo terra ones i think thats the name lol. With the ventilation grid/mesh at the top. These hold nothing in! Infact, most glass tanks (which I use for my own preference- you can see/observe how the animals are doing better)dont! but I've noticed that the plastic pet carriers (usually bought by novices for pet snakes or tarantulas) hold in considerably more? Can you relate to this? And also, ive got a couple of albino african claws myself, and i have to admit when I first bought one,I was told they have to be kept in a tank full of water (suprise suprise)- such as your aquarium(im sure most are told this upon buying fish eh lol.) But i watched him closey and after eating several guppys and a few failed escape attempts, I realised this obviously wasnt the way they should be kept. Looked on the internet abit and came up with an enclosure pretty similar to yours kay

Id thought that the extro terra would cause a problem.as we know heat rises and will escape easier.
The plastic critter boxes are ok but tend to sweat to much with moisture and also treefrogs can stress and stop feeding as they need to be able to climb to a height
Ive thought about getting exo terra for my tree frogs but now you've said that they are not holding the correct humidity i may just stick to my aquatic style tanks,or get one to experiment with without frogs in to start with.
the only other possible way to hold in the humidity, is to get apiece of perspex and half the amount of ventilaton so the humidity doesn't escape so much.
